DENZAI Environmental Science Museum (the former Youth Science Museum) in Muroran, Hokkaido has chosen ORPHEUS Hybrid as their third planetarium. They opened with our M-1 planetarium in 1963 and updated to GX-10 in 1967. After using two Goto planetariums for 58 years, they decided to remove the old 10m dome and build new 12m dome. Their new concept is “Designing to reduce the environmental load” and the various natural energy like solar, wind, geothermal, etc. were incorporated into new building by considering SDGs. This is a complex facility of a planetarium and library where many people of all ages can gather and enjoy themselves.
