NEW! The world’s first fusion of 1 billion optical projector stars and 8K resolution digital images!
GOTO INC is pleased to announce that our flagship model, “Chiron III Hybrid” has been delivered to the Sagamihara City Museum.
Sagamihara City Museum, located in the Kanto region of Japan, opened in 1995 as a comprehensive museum dealing with the history, culture, and nature of the region. Taking advantage of its location adjacent to the JAXA(Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency), the planetarium has been widely loved by local residents as a core facility for space education and city promotion.
More than 30 years have passed since the museum opened, and the aging equipment has been updated.
The “Chiron III Hybrid” was selected to be “Sagamihara City’s planetarium facility that can be proud of nationwide,” as it meets the criteria of “accuracy, operability, and creativity suitable for learning use” and “performance that delivers excitement to viewers.”

The delivered "Chiron III" is a special specification machine with an original design that uses the facility's symbolic color and logo. The Milky Way, which can be independently dimmed, is reproduced with over 1 billion faint stars based on observation data from the astronomical observation satellite "Gaia," and over 300 nebulae and star clusters, including all Messier objects, and over 2,000 dark nebulae are reproduced as they are. In addition, the twinkling of stars due to atmospheric fluctuations and the variable magnitude difference function that allows you to dim the stars by magnitude, naturally and beautifully depict the starry sky seen from urban areas to suburban areas, and outer space.
The full-dome digital video system "Virtualium II" uses Cosm's Digistar software and is equipped with a high-definition video projector equivalent to 8K and a dedicated lens designed in-house, projecting beautiful, seamless images across the entire dome. A dual projection system using four projectors has been achieved, achieving high-definition and bright images.
Please consider visiting this wonderful science museum planetarium in conjunction with the IPS2026 Fukuoka Conference!
